Deven Fozdar,
CPA, CFE named Manager for
BURKETT BURKETT &
BURKETT Certified Public Accountants, P.A.

– BURKETT BURKETT & BURKETT Certified Public Accountants,
P.A. announced the promotion of Deven A. Fozdar to Manager.
Fozdar has been a Senior Accountant with the firm since 2000
and a Certified Fraud Examiner since 2007.
“We are pleased that Deven has
achieved manager status here at Burkett; we couldn’t be
happier with his work and commitment to ethics and good
business sense,” the Managing Partner, Ronny Burkett said.
Fozdar’s new position allows him to
manage and prepare tax returns for individuals,
partnerships, corporations and not-for-profit entities. He
also performs audits of small businesses, assists with
business valuations and litigation support cases and handles
financial fraud and forensic accounting for the firm.
Born in Bombay, India, Fozdar
holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a concentration in
Accounting and Taxation from the University of Bombay. He is
Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner and
Fellow of Chartered Accountants in India. Fozdar also is
accredited as an Independent Valuator by the Institute of
Internal Auditors for performing quality assessment reviews
of internal audits.
His past work includes President
of Finance Public for a limited company in India from
1993-1999 where he managed relations with banks and
financial institutions at senior levels. He also was
responsible for obtaining financing, tax planning, financing
functions, auditing the accounts and filing of tax returns.
Fozdar was also appointed a Director on the Board of all the
group companies for Public Accounting in India.
Fozdar is a member of the South
Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants,
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,
Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Institute of
Internal Auditors, Institute of Chartered Accountants of
India, Immigration Community Access Point board member and
past treasurer of Hindu Temple & Cultural Center of South
Carolina.

Public Accountants, P.A., is pleased to announce that C.
Mark Bokesch Manager, has earned the globally preferred
“Certified Fraud Examiner” (CFE) designation from The
Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the world’s
leading provider of anti-fraud training and education. CFEs
are knowledgeable in four areas critical to the fight
against fraud: Fraudulent Financial Transactions,
Criminology and Ethics, Legal Elements of Fraud and Fraud
Investigation.
The ACFE’s Board of Regents awards
this designation only to select professionals who meet a
stringent set of criteria, including character, experience,
and education. Bokesch has successfully met this criterion
and now joins the ranks of over 16,000 business and
government professionals worldwide who have earned the CFE
certification.
Bokesch’s CFE will allow him to
examine data and records to detect and trace fraudulent
transactions as well as interview suspects to obtain
information and confessions. He will be able to write
investigation reports and advise clients as to their
findings and testify at trial. Bokesch is well-versed
in the law as it relates to fraud and fraud investigations.
Mark Bokesch holds a Juris
Doctorate from the University of South Carolina Law School
in addition to his Masters of Taxation from the University
of South Carolina. He is CPA, certified in both South
and North Carolina, and has over eight years of experience
in Business Valuation, Litigation Support and Tax. He
received his Undergraduate from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Biology and minor in Business Administration.
Bokesch is the Treasurer for the Columbia Capital Rotary
club and an active member of SCACPA, South Carolina
Association of Certified Public Accountants.

today that Amy Macchiaverna will head-up the Marketing
Department as Marketing Director for all four offices, West
Columbia, Lexington, Rock Hill and Sumter, SC. Amy
will also act as Marketing Director for the affiliate

a medical practice management and billing service, and
Burkett Financial Services, LLC, a registered investment
advisor company.

Amy Macchiaverna, a native of Irmo,
South Carolina, joins Burkett after nine years of experience
in public relations, marketing and event planning with such

Twentieth Century Fox and Lexus Division of Toyota Motor
Sales USA. Her work on the consumer accounts, Disney Online,
eBay, and Nike, helped propel her into representing the
famed GOT MILK? creator, Jeff Manning, on several marketing
campaigns.
